Calvert Group hired State Street Global to subadvise a new mutual fund, the Calvert Social Investment Fund Managed Index Portfolio. The fund uses quantitative and qualitative analysis of the companies in the index to screen out those that do not pass social and financial criteria.
The fund will be targeted to institutions, retirement plans, registered investment advisers and individuals.
