WHO'S NEWS
Jeffrey L. Shames was named chairman and CEO at MFS Institutional Advisors, replacing A. Keith Brodkin, who died unexpectedly last week. Mr. Shames, who has been president of the firm, will continue to hold that post for now.
Also, John Ballen, MFS chief equities officer, has been appointed to the board of directors replacing Mr. Brodkin. Mr. Shames already sits on the board.
Kevin M. Leonard joined Segal Advisors as a consultant, replacing Alison Silver, who started the firm's Chicago office late last year. Mr. Leonard was a consultant at Advest Custom Consulting, where he eventually will be replaced.
Clarence Williams has been named to the new position of client service officer at New Amsterdam Partners. Mr. Williams was previously business analyst in the Pitney Bowes finance department
