Ruud Hommes has been named gener al manager of the Stichting Pensioenfonds IBM Nederland, Amstelveen, The Netherlands. He succeeded Hans Janssens, who took early retirement as head of the 4 billion guilder ($1.9 billion) pension fund.
Douglas L. DuMond has been na med senior vice president of retirement sales and marketing at New England Investment Cos. He will be responsible for establishing a sales and marketing group for large plans, multimanager defined contribution alliances and variabl e annuity programs.
He joined NEIC from MetLife, where he was managing director and national sales manager for defined contribution and investment services. His duties at MetLife have been split among other staff members.
Michael deMarco and Paul Rudinoff were selected by Putnam Investments to head a new group that will offer strategic services to large institutions and consultants. Mr. deMarco is a senior vice president and senior team member for Putnam's institutional advisory team; he was director-risk management for GTE Investment Management. Mr. Rudinoff, also senior vice president and senior team member, was an international equity investment specialist for Putnam.
Eric Knutzen , managing director, institutional management, said Putnam will select a third senior person for the team and a quantitative analyst.
A GTE staffer said Mr. deMarco hasn't been replaced.
