Orie L. Dudley Jr. has been named CEO of Scottish Widows Investment Management, Edinburgh, as of Jan. 5. Mr. Dudley now is managing director of Barclays Asset Management, the holding company for Barclays Bank's money management units. At Scottish Widows, he will succeed David Ritchie, who is retiring as executive chairman. He has not been replaced at Barclays.
John M. Brown is the new managing director and chief of institutional defined benefit at Putnam Investments, a newly created position. He will be responsible for all functional areas of Putnam's DB business, such as consultant relations, marketing, sales and client service. He formerly was CEO and managing director at State Street Australia, where he was replaced by Bob Williams.
Jeanna M. Cullins has been named a vice president in the Washington office of Independent Fiduciary Services, an investment consulting firm. She was executive director of the District of Columbia Retirement Board until she resigned in September. In the newly created position, Ms. Cullins will help evaluate plan sponsors' investment programs
