James B. Lockhart III, former executive director and chief executive of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp., is making a push for pension fund clients for Net Risk, Inc., a risk management consulting firm.
"A lot of (pension funds) have not adopted the modern risk management tools," said Mr. Lockhart, chief financial officer and leader of the insurance team for Greenwich, Conn.-based Net Risk.
Net Risk's chairman and chief executive is Eugene B. Shanks, former president of Bankers Trust Co., New York. Daniel T. Mudge, head of the firm's risk management group, also worked for Bankers Trust, as a managing director in its global risk management group.
Net Risk was formed earlier this year to focus on enterprise risk management - measuring and managing the overall risks of a business - for pension funds, banks, insurance companies, investment managers and other risk intensive institutions. The firm provides services such as risk audits and assessments, technology consulting, software, and customized problem solving.
