Donald W. Phillips resigned as chairman of Equity Institutional Investors, the institutional real estate and distressed-company investment firm controlled by Sam Zell. He said he was leaving because the Zell/Chilmark Fund and four other real estate funds will be maturing soon.
Mr. Phillips plans to establish a partnership to build a multiclass investment management firm. Information on Mr. Phillips' replacement was unavailable.
Deborah D. Boedicker, former director of client relations and business development for Analytic·TSA Global Asset Management, joined Brinson Partners as a partner in consultant relations and business development, a new position.
A spokeswoman for Analytic·TSA said the firm may replace Ms. Boedicker, if the right person is found
