Roger C. Bransford, managing director of investment consulting at Watson Wyatt Investment Consulting, was one of 29 people killed in the crash of a Comair plane near Detroit yesterday. Mr. Bransford was en route from a Cincinnati client meeting to another meeting in Detroit. Mr. Bransford was a well-liked and respected figure in the investment and consulting industry.
Pete Smith, president and CEO at Watson Wyatt, called Mr. Bransford's death a ``terrible tragedy for Roger's family and for us. ... Although he joined us only a little under a year ago, Roger's character, spirit and competence had quickly made him a key part of our senior management team. He will be deeply missed.'' Mr. Bransford, who was 52, is survived by his wife, Ave, and three sons.
