Taunton (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System issued RFPs for a core international equity manager to run $4.5 million and a U.S. small-cap stock manager to run $3.25 million. The deadline for both RFPs is Nov. 22.
The fund, with more than $60 million in assets, terminated Wellington Management as its international stock manager because officials ``weren't satisfied with the performance over the last couple of years,'' said Alison Ellsworth, the Segal Advisors consultant who is assisting. Wellington Management officials refused comment. The small-cap RFP is being issued because the fund is keeping an eye on its small-cap investments with Apodaca Capital Management following the departure of CIO Scott Johnston. The fund might not hire a new manager.
