Oregon Public Employes' Retirement System, Salem, hired three managers to run $200 million each in small-capitalization equities, said Michael Parker, a spokesman for the $24 billion system.
The three managers selected by the Oregon Investment Council are: Becker Capital Management; Wellington Management; and Palisade Capital Securities. Also, the council committed $75 million to the Lone Star Opportunities Fund, a real estate buy-out fund.
