Mississippi Public Employees' Retirement System, Jackson, hired Lombard Odier and Putnam to each manage $200 million. The firms will run international equity portfolios; Putnam in the Pacific Basin region and Lombard in Europe. Assets came from restructuring the $9.8 billion plan's portfolios, which included the termination of Brinson Partners, the fund's U.S. bond and international equity manager, said Lorrie Tingle, deputy director of investments. Becker, Burke Associates conducted the search.
