Virginia Retirement System trustees have approved two investments in private equity limited partnerships. Trustees of the Richmond-based, $22 billion pension fund approved investing up to $100 million in TA/Advent VIII, a limited partnership that will invest most of its assets in growing, profitable companies, and up to $50 million in New Enterprise Associates VII, according to Bill Sullivan, a VRS spokesman.
