The San Bernardino (Calif.) County Employees' Retirement System is holding off for now its approval of an RFP for a custodial search. Whether it approves the RFP largely hinges on a fee quote its current custodian, State Street Bank, is preparing. The $2.4 billion pension fund is hoping for a reduction in its custodial costs. Trustees are expected to get the new fee proposal in early September. State Street Bank's contract isn't up for another year.
