Pooled guaranteed investment funds returned an average 1.55% during the second quarter, down slightly from 1.59% in the first quarter, according to Hueler Analytics. By comparison, 90-day T-bills were up 1.29% and the Salomon Broad Bond Index was up only 0.49%.
The Hueler universe of pooled GIC funds represents nearly $25 billion in pooled GIC funds. The rolling 12-month average return on pooled GIC funds was 6.44% for the period ended June 30.
