The Classified Employees' Retirement Fund of the city of Stamford, Conn., hired PaineWebber's Prime Asset Consulting Group as its investment consultant, pending successful contract negotiations, said Barry Kaplan, benefits manager.
The $130 million pension fund previously did not have a consultant, said Mr. Kaplan.
Prime's first order of business for Stamford will be the development of an investment policy and an asset allocation plan.
