Assistant Secretary of Labor Olena Berg said the Labor Department will be coming out with new public education materials in the next few weeks.
Ms. Berg would not elaborate on the materials, but said they are part of the department's continuing campaign to educate American workers on retirement security. Ms. Berg made the announcement Wednesday at a bipartisan panel on Capitol Hill that focused on retirement savings issues.
At the same discussion, Rep. Earl Pomeroy, D-N.D., said he is hopeful Congress will pass legislation this session creating a national commission on retirement savings that he introduced some months ago.
``We're looking at all and any vehicles'' on which the legislation could piggyback, he said.
