Charles Conrad, a former top executive at two public pension funds, has been named general manager and CIO of the $2 billion Alameda County Employees' Retirement Association, Oakland, Calif.
He succeeds Francis J. Early, who retired in May.
Mr. Conrad resigned as CEO of the Los Angeles County Employees' Retirement Association in 1994 to become president and CEO of a mortgage and insurance agency, Securitas Financial Services. Prior to joining LACERA, he was assistant executive officer of the California Public Employees' Retirement System
