The council overseeing the $20 billion Oregon Public Employes' Retirement System, Salem, probably will begin interviewing domestic large-cap equity managers at its regular meeting later this month, said Gerard Drummond, chairman of the Oregon Investment Council. The board probably will interview three managers. The council has not yet decided how much it will place of some $4 billion in terminations and reductions that occurred last year, he said. The money is now being parked in index funds. Wilshire and Frank Russell are assisting.
