J.P. Morgan saw investment management fees grow 25% to $172 million in the second quarter compared with $138 million in the year-earlier period. The growth was fueled by net new business.
Assets totaled approximately $190 billion as of June 30. The firm reported net income of $440 million and earnings per share of $2.14 in the second quarter. The net income represents a 40% increase over the year-earlier quarter. EPS in the second quarter of 1995 stood at $1.56.
