The $1.2 billion Milwaukee County Employees' Retirement System hired Strong Capital Management to manage $65 million in core fixed income. The hiring resulted from a search for a Milwaukee-based fixed-income manager, said Jac R. Amerell, director. The fund also increased by $10 million a fixed-income index fund run by Mellon. Mellon now runs $73 million for the fund. Funding came from reducing by $75 million the fund's allocation to growth equities. Mr. Amerell declined to name the growth managers affected by the rebalancing.
