The $375 million pension fund of Cincinnati Milacron Inc., Cincinnati, hired Cadence Capital Management for about a $30 million U.S. growth stock portfolio. It also gave Putnam Investments an additional allocation of about $12 million to invest in domestic or international fixed income, at the manager's discretion. Putnam already manages about $60 million of U.S. fixed income for Cincinnati Milacron, said Victor Bell of LCG Associates, the fund's consultant.
Both allocations were funded by terminating other managers - one in growth stocks and one in global fixed income - Mr. Bell wouldn't name.
