Even though the Mississippi attorney general is suing tobacco companies, the $9.5 billion Mississippi Employees' Retirement System, Jackson, increased its holding in Philip Morris by 7,000 shares, said Frank Ready, executive director. The system owns 977,200 shares of Philip Morris.
``We are not divesting ourselves of tobacco stocks at this time,'' he said, noting the system's outside money managers ``are positive'' about the outlook for Philip Morris.
