The San Bernardino County (Calif.) Employees' Retirement Association is searching for a large-cap value equity manager to run about $88 million, said Nathan Fisher, investment manager of the $2.2 billion fund. That RFP will be sent out in midsummer.
The fund also is sending RFPs for a small-cap value equity manager to handle an allocation of about $66 million. Responses are due June 7, and a selection is expected in September.
Assets to fund both hires will come from a midcap portfolio run by Van Deventer & Hoch, which is being terminated as a result of a change in equity strategy. Van Deventer may apply for the large-cap value assignment, said Mr. Fisher.
