The $368 million Middlesex County (Mass.) Retirement System has picked three finalists to manage stock distributions from venture capital funds, said Nancy O'Neill, investment coordinator. Finalists are QCI Asset Management, Harbor Capital Management and Warburg, Pincus Counsellors.
The fund has 5% of its assets allocated to venture capital investments; rather than liquidate those holdings, the system has decided to hire a manager to manage the distributions. A decision could be made at the next board meeting, scheduled for the end of May.
