The $800 million San Mateo County Employees' Retirement Association, Redwood City, Calif., is seeking an active international equity manager to which it will allocate about $64 million. No decision has been made yet on what international index will be used as a benchmark. The money will come from an existing international passive portfolio of about $160 million, run by BZW Barclays Global Investors.
A decision should be made in mid-July. No finalists have yet been chosen. Wyatt's San Francisco office is assisting in the search. Wyatt is using its own database of money managers to choose candidates.
