Brinson Partners has begun running retail mutual funds. The firm's parent, Swiss Bank Corp., created a separate class of shares of The Brinson Funds called the SwissKey funds for which Brinson is subadviser. The minimum investment on the seven funds is $1,000. The funds will be offered to private clients of Swiss Bank and other retail investors. The funds have no sales charges but do have 12(b)1 fees. The funds include international, global and domestic stock, bond and balanced funds.
