The $19.7 billion Los Angeles County Employees Retirement Association is expected to do an RFI-style search in a couple of months for an alternative investment consultant for its $500 million alternative investment program.
The search will follow an ongoing strategic investment plan for alternative investments that is being done by the fund's staff and its general consultant, Frank Russell Co.
Chancellor Capital Management, the fund's current alternative investment consultant, is expected to be a candidate in the RFI. The fund's board wants to compare fees and capabilities of alternative investment consultants. The new contract could be for as long as three years with a provision for an annual review.
