The Conference Board is considering buying the Brancato Reports from founder Carolyn Kay Brancato. The reports provide data on stock market investments of U.S. institutional investors. The sale is contingent upon The Conference Board's ability to raise $300,000, which will enable it to produce the reports for five years and add data on holdings of pension funds worldwide, Ms. Brancato said. Ms. Brancato also is research director of corporate governance and strategy at The Conference Board.
Meanwhile, the California Public Employees' Retirement System and BZW Barclays Global Investors joined the Conference Board and are participating in attempts to help corporations communicate their non-financial measures of performance to all shareholders.
