The $20 billion Oregon Public Employes' Retirement System, Salem, committed $400 million to $800 million to the Kohlberg Kravis Roberts 1996 fund, said Fred McDonnal, executive director. The size of the investment will depend on the amount KKR raises from other investors, he said.
