A report on liquidity of institutional fixed-income investors has been developed by Capital Access Corp.
The so-called FINCOM Buying Reports, to come out monthly, cover the asset-backed, corporate, government and municipal sectors. The reports look at holdings of mutual funds, insurance companies and pension funds.
The reports identify fixed-income investment managers and their cash generated by maturing bonds, redemptions, coupon payments and, in the case of municipals, pre-fundings.
Each sector report alphabetically lists investment management firms and the cash generated by the firm and each of its subaccounts for a three-month period.
"With the surge of new issues expected to hit the market, this product can better help broker-dealers and issuers to understand the cash-generating position of key accounts and assist in the reinvestment of available cash," said David D. Farrington, chairman and chief executive officer of the Murray Hill, N.J., firm.
