Wanted: $150,000. Reward: associate producer credit for anyone who donates $100,000 or more.
Eugene Shirley, award-winning television producer, needs that much in interim funding to bring to fruition a series for public television called "Beyond Wall Street."
The program will look at institutional investment, profile leading institutional money managers and draw lessons from their success for other investors. "Beyond Wall Street" will complement public television's long-running "Wall Street Week."
A pilot program has been produced and has attracted the interest of WNET-TV, New York. Executives said the station might serve as co-producing partner in the series.
But before that happens, the interim funding must be found to get the series to the point of production.
Mr. Shirley can be contacted at (213) 939-4700.
