NEW YORK - A new link has been set up between Canadian brokerage firms and some U.S. and Canadian security exchanges.
Davidge Data Systems, New York, has teamed with Dataphile Software to provide Canadian brokerage clients with electronic execution for U.S. and Canadian securities.
Canadian investors now will be on an equal footing with their U.S. peers, while U.S. investors will gain electronic access to Canadian markets, according to Davidge executives.
Davidge has agreed to add links to the execution systems of all major Canadian stock exchanges. Dataphile, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, executives expect the DavNet electronic order routing capabilities to be available to Dataphile's customers by Dec. 1. NEW YORK - REIS OnLine is a new online service to centralize and standardize real estate market data, news and analysis in 60 major U.S. metropolitan markets and submarkets.
It draws on data from REIS Reports Inc., New York. REIS Reports maintains and updates a proprietary database of historical time series performance data on more than 110,000 individual properties. It includes data on approximately 3.4 billion square feet of office space, 2.5 billion square feet of retail space, 4 billion square feet of industrial space and more than 6.5 million rental apartment units in more than 40,000 multifamily properties.
Major components of REIS OnLine are property and portfolio analytics, real estate market monitoring, pro forma generation, market trend and forecast data, current peer reports and news and networking. LOS ANGELES - The number of subscribers to Capital Management Sciences' fixed-income portfolio analytics rose 35% for the 12 months ended June 30, according to the 1995 Annual Report for Data Broadcasting Corp. CMS is owned by Data Broadcasting. CMS achieved revenue of $13.3 million, which accounted for 18% of Data Broadcasting's total sales volume. The number of computers with CMS products installed rose to 920.
LONDON - Schroders PLC, London, is using Infinity's Montage Data Model Fin++ Class Library programming language and applications as its technology platform for global risk management.
Schroders is an international fund management and merchant and investment banking firm.
