The $34 million Town of Natick (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for an investment manager to run approximately $2 million in an active international equity commingled fund or mutual fund. RFPs may be requested in writing or by fax to Larry Brown of The Hannah Group. Firms must have at least $500 million in assets, of which at least $100 million must be in non-U.S. equities. RFPs must be received by Nov. 10. The $21 million City of Newport (R.I.) Police & Firemen's pension fund is searching for an investment manager to run $2 million for an active non-U.S. equity portfolio. RFPs may be requested through a written or faxed request to Larry Brown of The Hannah Group. The fund seeks firms with a minimum of $500 million in assets, of which at least $100 million is in international equities. Proposals must be received by Nov. 10. Trustees of the $26 million Transit Police Retirement Plan, Washington, hired two managers Woodford Capital Management for $8 million in growth stocks and Voyageur Asset Management for $8 million in core fixed income, said Charles Ullmann, chairman of the board of trustees. The money will come from Duff & Phelps Investment Management Co., which was terminated for poor performance. Duff & Phelps Senior Vice President Robert Schank was unavailable for comment.
