NEW YORK - Salomon Brothers is recommending Latin American portfolios increase slightly their exposure to Brazil and Peru and modestly decrease exposure to Argentina.
Salomon recommends a 42% weighting in Brazil, up from 41%. For Peru, the firm sees a 7% exposure to Peru, up from an already overweighted 6%.
But in Argentina, Salomon suggests a 13% weighting, down from 15%.
For other Latin American markets, Salomon recommends maintaining exposures of 12% to Chile, 4% to Colombia, 21% to Mexico and 1% to Venezuela.
