Mark Saunders and George Manahilov, both managing directors, and Ken-Ichi Hino, an executive director, have joined UBS Asset Management to establish a new energy storage strategy, Zarna Patel, a spokeswoman, said in an email.
Messrs. Saunders and Manahilov co-head the energy storage strategy and report to Tommaso Albanese, a managing director and head of infrastructure in UBS Asset Management's real estate and private markets business.
Mr. Saunders was a vice president at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, while Mr. Manahilov was the founder of several companies specializing in investing, developing and operating renewable energy projects in the U.S. and Europe. GSAM declined to comment on Mr. Saunders' replacement.
Mr. Hino was director of energy storage for National Grid Renewables, a renewable energy company.
UBS Asset Management had $5.8 billion infrastructure in assets under management as of Sept. 30.
