Emily M. Brakebill has joined private equity firm True Wind Capital as a partner and head of investor relations.
Brakebill started in the role March 4 and serves on the firm's investment committee, according to a news release. She is based in the firm's San Francisco headquarters.
Brakebill steps into a new role for True Wind and will report to Adam Clammer, co-founder and managing partner.
Most recently, Brakebill was a co-founding partner, head of investor relations and chief operating officer at HMI Capital Management. "We are grateful for Emily's leadership during her 15 years at HMI, and she will continue to remain connected to HMI as a senior adviser," a spokesperson said.
Prior to that, Brakebill was a vice president and investment manager at Columbus Nova Partners.
True Wind had approximately $2 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31, according to a spokesperson. The firm was founded in 2015 by KKR alumni Clammer and James H. Greene Jr. and focuses on technology companies.
