TPG Sixth Street Partners, a strategic partner of alternative investments firm TPG, closed its first late-stage growth fund, TSSP Capital Solutions, at its $2.2 billion hard cap, spokesman Patrick Clifford said in an email.
The fund makes non-controlling investments in growth-oriented companies and has the flexibility to invest from $25 million to more than $500 million.
Investors in the fund include the $242.1 billion California State Teachers' Retirement System, West Sacramento; Washington State Investment Board, Olympia, which oversees $139.6 billion in assets; the $74.5 billion Michigan Retirement Systems, East Lansing; the $66.3 billion Alaska Permanent Fund Corp., Juneau; and the $1.6 billion Tulare County Employees' Retirement Association, Visalia, Calif.
