Cecile Cabanis was named deputy CEO at alternatives manager Tikehau Capital, a spokeswoman confirmed.
The role is new. Effective Sept. 1, Ms. Cabanis will oversee the human capital, ESG, communications and marketing functions of the group.
Based in Paris, Ms. Cabanis will report to the co-founders of the firm, Antoine Flamarion and Mathieu Chabran.
Ms. Cabanis’ “extensive experience in key positions at large international corporates, in addition to her in-depth knowledge of the economy and business issues, will prove invaluable to us at Tikehau Capital,” said Messrs. Flamarion and Chabran, in a news release Friday. “We have been committed to deploying a pioneering approach to impact across all our asset classes for several years, and Cecile’s values and convictions in this area are perfectly aligned with those of the group.”
Tikehau Capital has €29.4 billion ($34.9 billion) in assets under management.
Ms. Cabanis was executive vice president at Danone Group.
