Oliver Thym was named a partner at Thoma Bravo to lead the private equity firm's credit business, confirmed spokeswoman Megan Frank.
Mr. Thym will oversee the firm's credit funds and strategic debt investments. He will report to the firm's investment committee.
He replaced Jack LeRoy, who left the firm to pursue other opportunities.
Mr. Thym was a partner at Goldman Sachs and head of the private credit group in the Americas for the merchant banking division. He was replaced by Alex Chi, a member of the financial and strategic investors group within the investment banking division, confirmed Goldman Sachs spokeswoman Leslie Shribman.
