Louis Demetro joined Third Street Partners, a New York-based executive recruiting boutique focused on the asset management and institutional investment industries, on April 8 as a principal and head of the firm’s alternative asset management practice in the U.S.
The position is new.
Demetro’s hiring reflects the growing importance asset management firms are placing now on diversifying into private markets, said Laura Pollock, Third Street's managing partner and founder, in a news release. “Every firm wants a piece of this asset class.”
Demetro was a senior consultant in recruiting firm Sheffield Haworth's global asset management practice. Frances Wright, Sheffield Haworth’s group head of marketing, couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
