David Steele has been named president and chief operating officer of Third Eye Capital, effective Aug. 15.
The president and COO roles are new and were "introduced as Third Eye Capital continues to grow and expand its products and distribution channels," said a spokeswoman for the alternative capital provider by email.
In this position, Mr. Steele will be "responsible for overseeing the company's operational and administrative functions including strategic planning, finance and accounting, performance and risk management, and compliance," said a Thursday release.
Mr. Steele formerly served as president and CEO of the Canadian business at Russell Investments, the release noted.
A spokesman for Russell Investments confirmed by email that Mr. Steele served as president of Russell Investments Canada, a subsidiary of Russell Investments.
Brad Jung, who is head of North America Advisor & Intermediary Solutions at Russell Investments, succeeded Mr. Steele as president of Russell Investments Canada.
Third Eye Capital manages approximately $3 billion (before leverage), all in private debt investments that the company sources, structures and manages, the Third Eye spokeswoman added.
