Jeff Rodgers has been appointed managing director-North American infrastructure at alternative asset firm Slate Asset Management.
It is a new position, a spokeswoman for the firm confirmed in an email.
Mr. Rodgers will "oversee origination and asset management for Slate's infrastructure platform in North America, supporting the buildout of Slate's 'Cities and Communities Impact Infrastructure Strategy' in Canada and the U.S.," said a news release Monday.
Before joining Slate, Mr. Rodgers served as managing director at investment manager DIF Capital Partners.
Slate also named Ryley Gartshore as vice president, a new position. Mr. Gartshore will join the firm in September. He formerly served as director of investments at Core Development Group, the release said. Before that, he served as associate director at DIF Capital Partners, where he "worked closely with Rodgers on the buildout of DIF's North American platform," Slate added in the release.
Neither DIF Capital Partners nor Core Development Group officials could be immediately reached for further details.
Both Messrs. Rodgers and Gartshore will be based in Toronto.
Mr. Gartshore will report to Mr. Rodgers and Mr. Rodgers reports to Christian Schmid, managing director and global head of infrastructure at Slate, the spokeswoman said.
Slate has about $10 billion in assets under management, the spokeswoman added.
