Michael Dryden has joined Sixth Street as a partner to lead the alternative investment firm's expansion into structured finance, a spokesman said in an email.
Sixth Street's new business will focus on origination and investment, including commercial and residential mortgages, energy finance, infrastructure debt, transportation and commercial equipment.
Mr. Dryden was global head of securitized products finance at Credit Suisse Group, which consolidated its origination and syndication teams in January. Mr. Dryden’s responsibilities at Credit Suisse were absorbed by Jay Kim, the current global head of credit, according to sources familiar with the matter. Credit Suisse declined to comment.
Sixth Street has about $60 billion in assets under management.
