Jessica Hans joined alternatives manager Silver Creek Capital Management as a managing director, a new position, spokeswoman Amanda Shpiner said in an email.
Ms. Hans was an investment director in alternative investments for the $81 billion defined benefit plan and the $18.2 billion endowment of the University of California Board of Regents, Oakland.
At Silver Creek, Ms. Hans reports to Art Zaske, deputy chief investment officer, and focuses on investments in non-corporate debt and real assets. She will also serve as a member of the Silver Creek's investment committee and real asset investment committee.
Separately, Amy Wells was promoted to chief client officer from a managing director, and is responsible for investor intake, client reporting and technology processes.
Stett Holbrook, spokesman for the University of California Office of the President, could not be immediately reached for information on Ms. Hans' replacement.
