Real asset manager ESR Group promoted Josh Daitch to group chief investment officer, according to a statement on Tuesday.
Mr. Daitch continues to be based in Singapore, a spokeswoman confirmed. The role is new and was made effective on Tuesday.
He will oversee investment management of the $150 billion portfolio, capital raising, research and analytics, and new product creation, the statement said.
Mr. Daitch was head of capital and new economy fund management at the firm. He has been with the firm since 2018 and has nearly 30 years of real estate investment experience across firms including Mesirow Financial and Archon Group, the real estate management subsidiary of Goldman Sachs.
He will continue to oversee his previous duties on top of his new responsibilities, a spokeswoman said.
ESR Group also said Matthew Lawson was promoted to group chief operating officer, relocating from Sydney to Singapore to take up the newly created position. He was chief financial officer for Australia.
As group COO, Mr. Lawson will work closely with the group co-CEOs Stuart Gibson and Jeffrey Shen and ESR Group's business leadership team to grow the business. He has also been tasked with optimizing the firm's operating capabilities, streamlining the business, and enhancing its cost structure.
ESR Group is listed on the main board of Hong Kong's stock exchange.
