Nicholas Stockdale will join the private debt team of Queensland Investment Corp. as head of infrastructure debt for Europe.
The new position, based in London, follows the launch of the firm's private debt capabilities this year with the appointment of Andrew Jones as global head of private debt.
A spokeswoman for the Brisbane-based firm said Mr. Stockdale will be tasked with building out QIC's infrastructure debt team in London.
Mr. Stockdale will join the firm, effective Nov. 1, from Sydney-based Whitehelm Capital. There he served as deputy head of infrastructure debt investments, according to a QIC news release.
Tom Maher, London-based head of business development with Whitehelm Capital, couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
PATRIZIA, a real assets manager based in Augsburg, Germany, announced Sept. 13 that it had entered into a share purchase agreement to acquire Whitehelm.
QIC, focused on alternative asset classes, has roughly A$93 billion ($69.2 billion) in assets under management.
