Jonathan Pruzan has been named president at Pretium, taking over a newly created role, a spokeswoman for Pretium said by email.
In this role, Mr. Pruzan will report to Don Mullen, Pretium's founder and CEO, and "oversee many of Pretium's strategic and operational initiatives," said a Tuesday release.
Mr. Pruzan most recently served as chief operating officer at Morgan Stanley, the Pretium spokeswoman noted.
A spokesman for Morgan Stanley said Mr. Pruzan had retired on Jan. 31.
Pretium, which focuses on U.S. residential real estate, residential credit and corporate credit, has more than $50 billion in assets under management.
