Trudi Usher Boardman was named head of hedge funds at Pictet Alternative Advisors, the alternative investment specialist of the Pictet Group.
Boardman replaced Heinrich Merz, who left the firm on November 1st. In June, Merz was named managing director at Oxford University Endowment Management.
Boardman will lead PAA's Geneva-based team of 12 investment professionals and hedge fund experts, managing €7 billion ($7.5 billion) of assets in single and multimanager hedge fund strategies.
"Trudi brings a wealth of experience and expertise to lead our team of senior investment professionals in the multimanager hedge fund team at PAA, as well as to institutionalize and grow the franchise further," Elif Aktug, Pictet managing partner and CEO of PAA, said in the release. "Trudi's appointment is valuable for PAA as we continue providing tailored hedge funds strategies to a range of institutional, wholesale and family office clients."
Boardman was CIO and specialist investment director across hedge funds, private credit and total portfolios at Cambridge Associates. Details on any replacement were not immediately available.
