Jason Sutton has joined buyout firm One Rock Capital Partners in the new position of head of business development, a spokesman said in an email.
Mr. Sutton is based in New York and will work with the investment team on marketing and investment sourcing. He reports to Tony W. Lee and R. Scott Spielvogel, both managing partners.
Mr. Sutton had been a senior vice president on the business development team at private equity firm Platinum Equity.
Daniel Whelan, a Platinum Equity spokesman, said in an email that Mr. Sutton was “one of several SVPs ... in our BD (business development) group. Johnny Lopez has been and remains the partner at Platinum who runs our business development operation.”
One Rock has $5 billion in cumulative capital commitments, including $2 billion in buyout fund One Rock Capital Partners III, which closed in March.
