Sweta Chanda has joined alternative investments manager Monroe Capital in the new position of managing director, head of business strategy, spokeswoman Margaret Chase said in an email.
Based in New York, Ms. Chanda is responsible for firmwide strategy, product and corporate development, and new initiatives to expand the firm's global footprint.
Ms. Chanda reports to Theodore L. Koenig, founder president and CEO.
Ms. Chanda was a director at New York Life Investment Management on the strategy and mergers and acquisitions team responsible for its alternative investment approach. Spokeswoman Kate Sylvester could not immediately provide information about Ms. Chanda's replacement.
