Zia Uddin, a partner and portfolio manager, has been promoted to president of credit manager Monroe Capital, a spokeswoman said in an email.
Mr. Uddin will continue to report to Theodore L. Koenig, chairman and CEO, who had also been president.
"Zia has been instrumental in establishing Monroe as a leader in the asset management industry, and there is no one better suited for this role," Mr. Koenig said in a news release.
As president, Mr. Uddin will implement the firm's long-term growth strategies. He will also serve as co-portfolio manager, institutional portfolios, alongside Chris Lund, newly appointed co-portfolio manager.
Monroe Capital has $11.2 billion in assets under management.
